Winn's Pizza & Steakhouse

Tucked just a short drive south of Des Moines on the charming Indianola town square, Winn's Pizza & Steakhouse has earned its reputation as one of the most beloved family dining destinations in Warren County. For more than a decade, this locally owned gem has been a cornerstone of the Indianola community, delivering the kind of hearty, unpretentious meals that keep Central Iowa families coming back again and again.

What sets Winn's apart from other Des Moines area steakhouses is the genuine care behind every plate. Owner Winn and his dedicated staff treat every guest like a familiar face, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a neighbor's kitchen than a restaurant. The menu is built around USDA choice cuts of meat, ensuring quality that rivals upscale Des Moines steakhouses at a fraction of the price. But the culinary surprises don't stop there — handmade egg rolls, crab rangoon, and authentic gyros round out a menu that defies easy categorization, and Winn's famous pizza has developed a loyal following all its own.

Whether you're planning a weekday lunch, a Friday night dinner, or a large gathering in the spacious party room, Winn's has the flexibility to accommodate. With a second location in nearby Norwalk, convenient parking around the historic Indianola square, and easy access from Highway 65, Winn's is a natural stop for anyone exploring dining options south of Des Moines. The full salad bar adds even more value to an already impressive spread. For locals and visitors alike searching for authentic, family-friendly Iowa dining near Des Moines, Winn's Pizza & Steakhouse delivers a genuinely satisfying experience every single time.
